Sled Dog Videoconference Series

This is our classic series that explores the lifestyle of running dogs in Alaska- from racing the Iditarod to keeping your family warm and well fed throughout the long northern winter. There are six seperate1 hour videoconferences programs in this series. All are supported by our online Moodle classroom, a daily Kennel Blog, and resource rich Flash Kennels website.  Teachers can choose to participate in this series in any way they like- from registering for a single 1 hour videoconference, in the typical “virtual fieldtrip” fashion, to registering for all six, stretched across a semester or an entire year! It’ a great way to provide an exciting, real-life theme to hook students into higher achievement levels for larger classroom or school-wide goals! The content for all the programs is customizable and tied to national standards in order to focus the learning specifically to individual classroom and school needs.
