Blogs That have Caught our Eye for September:
Like all of you we spend a great deal of time learning from the web. And while blogs aren’t by any means the only method we do that they are an important one. Here are just a few examples of our favorites.
- Videoconference Edublogs provides unique tips and interesting topics. http://videoconference.edublogs.org
- A gold prospecting blog. I don’t really track this all that close but it’s always there when a need a little medicine from Gold Fever! http://goldplacer.com/goldprospectors/category/chris-ralphs-blog/
- Peter Pappas blog provides methods and processes and thoughts for integrating Web 2.0 into the classroom. http://peterpappas.blogs.com/
- More of an online magazine than a blog but I read it all the time. And not just because I like to ride bikes! Conditioning sled dogs and training to race bikes and teaching kids all share some fundamental traits. So with Velonews, it seems I am always learning things that apply to every aspect of my life! http://www.velonews.com/
- Tech4Teachers is one of the best blogs I have seen for providing daily tidbits about technology in the classroom. http://www.freetech4teachers.com/
- Well, podcast instead of a blog- but what the heck I look forward every week or so to hearing who they interviewed and what they are up to in the sport of mushing! http://web.me.com/smellydog1/Mushing_Magazine_Podcasts/Mushing_Magazine_Podcasts/Mushing_Magazine_Podcasts.html
Well you can see they are pretty diverse- from straight forward edutech topics and general best practices in education, all the way across to how to find gold in the winter when it’s twenty below with four feet of snow covering everything!
But it’s this diversity that makes learning so fun!
