Count down for the KEA 2009 Virtual Sled Dog Race:

Our Videoconference Programs are unique in the world of traditional “museum-style” videoconferencing. Such as:

Live from the forests of Alaska
Real-time runs with our dog team
Unprecedented teacher-based flexibility to shape the learning experience

It is our goal to provide... not only one-time enrichment opportunities for students... but to develop long term partnerships with teachers that redefine ideas on how distance learning can be used in our classrooms! Learn More

Our Programs:

Virtual Field Trips:The traditional content provider 1 hour Videoconference, with pre and post activities and year long access to our TeachingWow Membership Resources!  These are great programs if you are new to videoconferencing and want to see what the possibilities are!  Join us live in the forests of Alaska for an experience you could in no other way offer your students!  All of our Virtual Field Trips are standards based and designed to be adaptable to any classroom need from Math to Art!

Virtual Life Series:  The Virtual Life programs are 5 days long and classrooms should plan on devoting at least 1 hour per day to work on them.  But if you have more time- your students will love you!  The biggest problem you'll have during one of our Virtual Life programs is getting your students to do something else durring the week!  That's okay though because these programs are packed with enough extra resources to extend into whatever content standards you need to focus on.   Principally, they are web-based using our Moodle clasroom and supported by extensive multi-media presentations, live chats, active blogs, and traditional webpages to create an immersive virtual gamming environment that rewards quality academic achievement with positive real-life consequences!  Check it out!  It will be like no other teaching experience you have ever had!

Virtual Mystery Sleuth Series: A videoconference sleuth is the connecting of students from different locations to solve an environmental mystery based on a common thread amongst the sites that has application to students' real lives. During a videoconference sleuth, students and teachers are working together to solve a mystery. The teachers and head Detective (Kigluait Adventures Staff) will help to provide facts and clues, while the students are using problem-solving skills to put the facts and clues together to solve the mystery. Finally, students will be given time to experiment, research, or seek out interviews with other persons for more clues.  Mystery Sleuths are 1 week long, 1hr per day (Moodle supported)
