Why is it called Crooked Kennels?
So where does the crooked come from in Crooked Kennels?
Well it's all because I can't build straight. Crooked dog houses. Crooked dog boxes (for the truck). Crooked house. Crooked deck. Crooked chairs. Crooked Kennel!
It's as simple as that. I love building, taking one form 'thing' and making it into some'thing' else. And I love to use something that I made- didn't buy, that is. Which all adds up to me spending a lot of time building stuff. All those things listed above are just a start.
But I rarely take the time to make it straight. It wrecks the whole act of building for me. Plus, I much prefer shapes that are non-ninety degree angles to shapes made from squares and rectangles. So in all my designs I want it to work, to meet my needs as I have defined them but I could care less if it's straight. Form follows function for sure! And function rarely depends on straightness!
And thus, Crooked Kennels!
And lucky for me my dogs seem to enjoy crooked things as much as do!
