Live from the Forest…

All our programs are brought to you live from our kennel just outside of Talkeetna, in the boreal forests of South Central Alaska. It’s an unbelievable place where we feel privileged to live and work. We broadcast live from our hand built cabin/studio for all the indoor portions of our conferences and then take advantage of the wireless cloud we have built over the 5 acres of trail that we maintain for programs. Off these trails it is possible to load up a sled and head out for month long wilderness expeditions… right from our door!

Moose, Grizzly bear, and Black bear are common sights around our neighbor hood but it is a rare day to see a garbage truck or police car.

Most things that we, in the United States, have come to expect in a home are unusual here…commercial phone and power are brand new and municipal water and septic are unheard of!

It is partly because of just how wild and wonderful our home is, that at Kigluait Adventures, we have a deep and abiding appreciation for the environment. We believe in a simple system of using our resources responsibly, in a sustainable manner, and always being conscious of our impact on the world and people around us… and balancing that impact with the true needs of our lives.
